UPDATE: RCMP confirm Okanagan man, 45, is 'safe and sound'

(UPDATE: Jan. 17 @ 2:40 pm) – The Vernon North Okanagan RCMP have confirmed that a 45-year-old man reported missing last month has been located.

The man was last seen in Vernon.

A news release said he was “located safe and well.”

“The Vernon North Okanagan RCMP would like to extend our appreciation to the public and our media partners for their assistance,” the news release said.


(Original story: Jan. 8 @ 6:55 am) – The RCMP has issued an appeal for help in their bid to find an Okanagan man who goes by the name of “Tank.”

Terrence Dunphy, who is 45, has not been since the end of December, according to a police bulletin.

He lives in Vernon.

The RCMP provided the following description of the missing man:

  • 6 ft 1 in

  • 205 lbs

  • Brown hair

  • Blue eyes

Mounties said if anyone spots Dunphy, or has information about his whereabouts, they should call their local police or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
