O’Keefe Ranch hiring actors for Field of Screams haunted corn maze

If you’re a big fan of Halloween and looking to make some extra money this fall, the historic O’Keefe Ranch in Vernon might be calling your name.

The ranch’s Field of Screams haunted corn maze, one of the Okanagan’s premier Halloween events, returns in less than six weeks.

A formal casting call has been sent out to find actors for the 11th year of Field of Screams, as the ranch is looking for actors aged 16 and up to fill roles in four brand-new, immersive scare mazes.

“We are seeking actors of all experience levels to fill a variety of roles within our four mazes,” explained a release from O’Keefe Ranch. “Whether you’re interested in portraying a fearsome werewolf, a sinister executioner, a tormented spirit or a spectral pirate, your perfect role awaits!”

The release says the ranch is seeking passionate, reliable people who can bring their character to life in a dynamic, high-energy environment.

Auditions are at 5 pm on Sunday, Sept. 8, and all actors will need to be available for the following key dates:

• Costume fitting: Sept. 14-15
• Tech rehearsal: Sept. 21-22
• Dress rehearsal: Sept. 26
• Event dates: Sept. 27-29, Oct. 3-6, Oct. 9-13, Oct. 16-20, Oct. 23-27, Oct. 31-Nov. 3
