Major Crime Unit seeks information on truck allegedly linked to 2 Penticton deaths

The BC Major Crime Unit is releasing new information about the 2022 deaths of two 30 year olds near Summerland.

On Sept. 15, the Penticton RCMP are notified by the Summerland Fire Department that two bodies had been found near the Kickininee Provincial Park pull-out.

The victims, Alannah Brown and Douglas Baker, both 30 and from Penticton, were last seen alive on Sept. 14, 2022.

In a news release issued Friday afternoon, the RCMP released a picture of a suspect vehicle that is believed to be associated with the deaths.

Mounties are looking to identify a newer model grey Ram 2500 pickup, which was captured on CCTV footage in the area on Sept. 14 and 15.

"We’re urging anyone who may have seen this truck or has information about it to come forward," says Supt. Sanjay Wijayakoon of the BC RCMP Major Crime Unit.

"This vehicle is of great interest to our investigation, and any detail, no matter how small, could prove invaluable."

Anyone with information about the truck or the investigation can call the Southeast District Major Crime unit tip line at 1-877-987-8477.
