Two hikers were rescued from Fintry Park last night, with one of them seriously hurt.
West Kelowna Fire Rescue (WKFR) said the duo was at the bottom of the waterfalls at the park.
The injured hiker was freed from the canyon by a helicopter and taken to Kelowna General Hospital, WKFR said. The other hiker, who was not hurt, was “walked out” by firefighters.
“West Kelowna Fire Rescue would like to remind the public the importance of staying on marked trails when adventuring in the outdoors,” WKFR said in a bulletin.
WKFR was assisting North Westside Fire Rescue in the operation.
