Victoria native Conor Morgan has been listed on the Team Canada camp roster ahead of a pair of world cup qualifying matches being held in early July.
The former UBC Thunderbird will have the opportunity to dawn the red and white as they attempt to reach next year’s 2023 FIBA World Cup in the Philippines.
Their first test will take place on July 1st against the Dominican Republic in Hamilton, ON before hitting the road to take on the U.S. Virgin Islands on July 4.
Morgan would begin his pro career in 2017 after spending four years at UBC. He first appeared for the Southland Sharks of New Zealand’s National Basketball League during the 2017-2018 season before joining Joventut Badalona of the Liga Endesa in Spain, followed by the Fraser Valley Bandits of the Canadian Elite Basketball League in 2019.
From there he would sign with MoraBanc Andorra of the Liga Endesa where he has played since 2021.
