With the fourth overall selection in this year’s prospects draft, the Vees picked Thor Liffiton from the Calgary CNHA U15 AAA Northstars.

Liffiton tallied seven goals and 38 points in 32 games this year, an increase of 25 points compared to his 2023-24 season, which saw him get 13 points in 34 games.

The 2010-born defenceman also appeared in four games at the U18 level this season, where he notched an assist.

Only the first round of the prospects draft was held on Wednesday. The remainder of the draft is set to occur today following the conclusion of the WHL US Priority Draft.
