Yee haw! After a four year hiatus, Professional Bull Riders (PBR) Canada's elite cup series will wrangle into Kelowna on Wednesday, July 20 for a day chock full of action.
The Canada cup series typically brings together the best riders from around the country, and internationally.
The event in Kelowna (PBR Okanagan Challenge) will be the fourth event of 2022 for the Canada cup series. It'll begin in Red Deer, Alta on June 11, before travelling through Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan prior to arriving in Kelowna.
In the 2018 PBR event in Kelowna, Australian Lachlan Richardson was a perfect two-for-two to capture the inaugural competition.
Among the riders to look out for is Ponoka, Alta's Zane Lambert, who is a two-time title holder, and Yellow Grass, Sask native Aaron Roy, who has won the event three times.
The PBR has events in five countries, and has competed in Canada since 1996.
The cup series debuted in 2016 to go along with the Touring pro division. The series is the nation's first cross-country, nationally televised rodeo. TSN has the rights to the Canadian events. For more information, please click this link.
It all kicks off at 7 pm on Wednesday, July 20. Tickets go on sale this Friday, May 6 at 10 am. They start at $30 and you can click this link for them.
