Single-game tickets for 2024 Young Stars Classic go on sale this week

Hockey fans looking to catch some of the best young stars from all four Western Canadian NHL teams will have a chance to do so in Penticton next month.

The annual Young Stars Classic is set for Sept. 13-16 at the South Okanagan Events Centre, with the Vancouver Canucks, Edmonton Oilers, Calgary Flames and Winnipeg Jets all participating.

Teams made up of prospects from all four clubs will compete in a four-team, round robin-style tournament over the four days.

Highlighting the group of participating prospects will be first-round picks like Jonathan Lekkerimäki (VAN), Sam O’Reilly (EDM), Zayne Parekh (CGY) and Colby Barlow (WPG).

These youngsters will hope to soon be wearing their team colours in the NHL, much like past participants of the tournament like Elias Pettersson, Leon Draisaitl, Connor McDavid and Nikolaj Ehlers.

Single-game tickets for the tournament are set to go on sale Friday, starting at $26 for adults and $15 for children 12 and under.

There’s also a limited number of double-header packages available for $35, which gives fans access to both games on either Friday, Sept. 13, or Monday, Sept. 16.

Click here to view the tournament scheduled and here to purchase tickets through Valley First Tix once they go on sale Friday.
