It's like having a spin studio at home.
Kelowna-based SPINCO, which has 18 studios and more than 150,000 members across Canada, has introduced Podium, the at-home fitness bike.
It's a next-generation stationary bike that costs $2,000 and is outfitted with a 22-inch, high-definition, intuitive touch screen for programming and following workouts, 32 levels of electronically controlled resistance, best-in-class components and a sleek, black, kick-ass aesthetic.
U.S.-based Echelon Fitness is making Podium based on SPINCO's specifications, which includes immersive content by SPINCO's top instructors from across the country as well as 24-7 access to Echelon's line up of live and on-demand workouts.
"The result is a bike that is true to our brand and an exceptional addition to our in-studio programming," said SPINCO founder Michelle August.
"This launch is a natural extension of our brand and we owe this milestone to our incredible community of riders."
SPINCO is a real Kelowna success story.
Started by August in 2014 with a single studio in a second-floor location in downtown Kelowna, it quickly expanded to 18 other communities to become Canada's largest spin studio chain.
The home spin trend is red-hot right now with people looking for home workouts during COVID.
SPINCO Podium's main competition, Peloton, caused a sensation earlier in the pandemic with its $2,700 bike.
Orders are now being taken at SPINCOPodium.com.
Orders made before the end of the month for the $2,000 Podium bike receive a free pair of shoes and delivery in spring 2021.
At checkout, customers can choose a charity, including Ronald McDonald House, to receive a donation based on a percentage of each bike sold.
