‘More alive than ever’: Kelowna's Rutland Flea Market is open every Sunday

The Rutland Flea Market is officially back in full swing.

Over the past few weeks, Tim Reimer and Tessa Lee have been working hard to revamp the indoor and outdoor market, which has been around for over 50 years.

“It was potentially going to be closed down because it was just not getting enough people,” Reimer explains. “Before we took over, there were only about 15 vendors, but we’re fully booked now.”

Approximately 50 vendors have claimed a spot at the market for the upcoming weeks, and guests will have the opportunity to browse through their range of items including vinyls, video games, clothes, collectibles, food and more.

“It’s up and running and more alive than ever,” Reimer says. "It’s a big community thing, and with every table, you’re supporting local."

The Rutland Flea Market is held on Sundays from 8 am to 1 pm at Rutland Centennial Hall, located at 215 Shepherd Road.

There is no entry fee for guests, and the venue is wheelchair accessible.

Reimer adds: "It's worth checking out."
