The first-ever Kelowna Polo Classic will be on Aug. 5.
La Chaine Des Rotisseurs of the Okanagan Valley (the Chaine) has partnered with the Okanagan Polo Club (OPC) to host the fundraiser, with a portion of the proceeds going towards the October 2024 International Young Sommelier Competition.
Some of the proceeds will also support polo as a sport in Kelowna.
“It promises to be a day of exciting polo action, fancy hats, networking and entertainment,” said Stephen Duke, the vice president of the Chaine.
With both covered and field-side viewing areas, spectators will be able to witness all of the action on the polo field.
There will be a Taste the Valley tent promoting local wines, spirits and beers, as well as food trucks, cash bars, a themed lounge and polo-inspired games.
Additionally, the Kelowna Polo Classic will have a cigar lounge featuring the largest selection of cigars in the BC Interior.
