Four years after the final Great Okanagan Beer Fest, a new locally-produced event celebrating the region’s craft beer scene is ready to make its debut today.
The first ever Kelowna Beer Fest will be held at City Park from 1-7 pm.
It will be a true kick-off-to-summer party and the forecast is perfect, as it’s expected to be around 30°C under sunny skies.
There will be 35 breweries and cideries on site, along with food trucks, games and local DJs to add to the fun.
The event is sold out, which means there will be no tickets sold at the door, but for those who have secured their pass, here are a few things you’ll want to know:
Organizers have also urged people to be responsible with their alcohol consumption and warned that lewd conduct or over drinking will not be tolerated.
People in violation of that can be denied entry to the site or removed from the grounds.
“Thick as Thieves Entertainment reserves the right to refuse admittance or evict anyone who creates a disturbance, causes a nuisance or breaks any of the rules outlined here without refund of admission,” they explained.
“Your behavior will be indicative of whether or not you’re able to attend KBF in future years, fighting or aggressive/rude behavior will not be tolerated.”
Police will be on site and patrolling the downtown area, so be sure to behave and keep the event fun for everyone.
