The Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Air Canada component issued a 72-hour strike notice shortly after midnight on Wednesday.
About 10,000 Air Canada fight attendants began their strike late Friday night.
At YLW, there have been four departing flight cancellations so far.
That includes one flight departing Vancouver and three departing to Toronto.
As of 7:45 am, there was one cancelled flight arriving from Toronto.
Air Canada has three divisions, which include the Air Canada mainline, Air Canada Rouge and Air Canada Jazz. The strike will affect the mainline and Rouge flights.
Earlier this week, KelownaNow spoke with YLW and was told that most of Air Canada's flights between Kelowna and Vancouver and Kelowna and Calgary are operated by Jazz and won't be affected by the lockout cancellations. Jazz is not affected by the strike.
However, connecting flights with a mainline to Rouge flights will be impacted.
Meanwhile, over in Vancouver, several Air Canada arrivals and departures have been cancelled.
