(UPDATE: 10 a.m.) - Witnesses say there have been at least six police cars in the area of this mornings police incident.
Officers are now circling a residence at 6249 Dallas Drive and the incident is believed to be unfolding within the house.
There have also been reports of police cars racing to other parts of the city, but it's not known if any of the incidents are connected.

(Original story: 9:10 a.m.) - A police incident is unfolding in the Dallas neighbourhood of Kamloops.
The incident appears to be happening between Todd Hill Crescent and McAuley Place, and police have taped off the area.
A KamloopsBCNow reporter on the scene says one police car is blocking off the west side of Dallas Drive, but they are letting residential traffic through.
One witness says that the incident is unfolding on a side street off of Dallas Drive.
Officers have not given any other information to the media.
