Kamloops Fire Rescue and the BC Wildfire Service needed to be sharp on Monday after being called to a grass fire at the Eagle Point Golf Resort.
According to KFR Platoon Captain Jim Gorman, a solid crew made short work of the blaze.
"Eagle Point looked like they had a small grass fire out there," said Gorman. "It had a couple of trucks, a bush truck, water, tender, and engine respond to that."
"We put some water on it, started digging some guard around it, forestry showed up to assist, and once they knocked it down, Eagle Point grounds crews were going to put a sprinkler in the area to keep it moist."
Gorman adds that crews were on scene for just two hours.
"It looks like they were there about two hours total with response time and everything."
Gorman went on to say that no structures were threatened by the blaze and no injuries were reported.
The golf course is open as usual today.
