Wade Lieuwen was described as an incredible, hands-on-father and husband by his friends, and the Kamloops community has come together to help his family grieve the sudden loss.
Lieuwen tragically passed away last Friday in a workplace accident at just 34 years old, leaving behind his wife Megan and his two daughters Sienna, 10 and Brylee, 8.
“If you’ve known Megan and Wade, you know that they are dreamers. Because of the clear intention behind their every action, they’ve made these dreams come true. They faced challenges and hurdles along the way, but they persevered,” said Caitlin Reed, family friends of the Lieuwens’.
“Every decision they’ve made has been for their family’s happiness, balance, and the betterment of those around them. They are authentic, talented, honest, hard-working people with envious small-town charm.”
His two girls are described to be just as big of dreamers, that’s why the Reed family has kick-started a GoFundMe to support the Lieuwen’s in any way they can.
In less than 24 hours, they have already raised a whopping $37,000 for the family.
“Wade would have wanted nothing more than to see his daughters achieve their dreams. They are now faced with an enormous hurdle in their way, and it only seems fitting that we come together to support them just as Wade would have for anyone in a similar situation,” said Reed.
