Voting day for the civic election is just around the corner and Kamloops’ advanced voting polls open on Wednesday.
Wednesday will be the first of three advanced voting days at two locations throughout the city.
After Wednesday, the other two advanced voting days will happen on Saturday, Oct. 8 and Wednesday, Oct. 12.
On each of those days, residents can stop in and cast their vote from 8 am to 8 pm at the Heritage House in Riverside Park or MacArthur Island Sport and Event Centre at 1655 Island Pkwy.
For residents who wish to not cast their vote in-person or are unable to, they can register for a mail ballot by filling out this form and picking up the package at city hall between 9 am and 4 pm, Monday to Friday.
The deadline to apply for a mail ballot is Friday Oct. 14 at 3:30 pm.
Residents will be responsible for having their mail ballot submitted to the chief election officer by Saturday, Oct. 15 before the close of voting at 8 pm.
