One person suffered serious, life threatening injuries in a collision last night on Interurban Road.
According to police, officers responded to a two vehicle collision in the 4100 block of Interurban Road just before 8:30 pm.
The collision caused the white sedan to veer off-road, into some bushes and crashed into a tree.
The other car, a grey sedan, went over a curb and crashed into a fence. The drivers were the only occupants of each vehicle.
“A preliminary investigation has determined that the driver of a grey sedan entered the roadway from a driveway when it collided with a white sedan travelling southbound on Interurban Road,” explained the Saanich Police.
One of the drivers sustained minor injuries and was transported to the hospital.
The other driver sustained serious, life-threatening injuries and remains in hospital.
Interurban Road between Wilkinson Road and Grange Road was closed to all traffic until 4:30 am this morning. The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
