Canadian restaurant chains now selling groceries amid COVID-19 pandemic

A pair of popular restaurant chains have expanded their offering to include groceries.

Both Earls Grocery and JOEY Market launched on Monday and will offer customers a variety of restaurant quality ingredients including fresh produce, baked goods, pantry essentials and even some home essentials like toilet paper.

JOEY Market will offer delivery through DoorDash, which comes with 10% off your bill, or curbside pickup at any JOEY location that will earn you 20% off.

There won’t be a delivery option for Earls Grocery, but you will get the same 20% off when you pick your items up.

“This is a difficult time for everyone, so we’re doing everything we can to help our customers out,” said Geoff Boyd, VP of Concept at JOEY Restaurant Group.

“We know that online grocery delivery services are backed up, and people who cannot get out to stores are having to wait longer than usual.”

Thanks to new rules during the COVID-19 pandemic, you can also order alcoholic drinks with your order and JOEY Market is even offering 50% off bottles of wine.
