Two of the biggest names in hip-hop history are coming to our neck of the woods later this year.
Wu-Tang Clan and Nas have announced a co-headline world tour that will stop at Rogers Arena in Vancouver on Monday, Oct. 16.
If you’re unable to make the Vancouver date but are still wanting to catch these legends in action, they also have shows in Calgary, Edmonton and Seattle in October as well.
Wu-Tang Clan is made up of RZA, GZA, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, U-God, Masta Killa, Inspectah Deck, Cappadonna and formerly O’ Dirty Bastard before he died in 2004.
Considered one of the most influential hip-hop groups of all time, they were founded back in the early 1990s and chose the name as a reference to a 1983 martial arts film.
Nas entered the scene at a similar time as Wu Tang Clan and also quickly built up a reputation as one of the greatest rappers on the planet.
His debut album Illmatic is still considered one of the best rap albums of all time and has been inducted into the Library of Congress’s National Recording Registry.
Both Nas and Wu Tang Clan have New York roots and the name of their tour, the NY State of Mind Tour, reflects that.
Tickets for the North American shows will go on sale at 9 am local time on Friday, March 3.
