It’s just under five months until thousands of music fans descend on Salmo, BC, for Shambhala Music Festival.
And it’s a milestone year for the festival, which will celebrate its 25th anniversary on the farm this summer.
The lineup for the 2024 edition of Shambhala, which will take place from July 26-29, dropped today and it includes some of the most exciting names in electronic music.
Headliners include CloZee, Dillon Francis, DJ Pee.Wee (Anderson Paak), Excision, Ganja White Night, LSDREAM, San Holo, Subtronics and Tipper, along with DJ sets from Chromeo, Disclosure and James Blake.
Beyond the headliners, more than 100 other acts are included on the initial lineup and it’s just the first wave, as organizers promise over 100 more artists to be added in the coming weeks and months.
“We've put our hearts and souls into curating an experience like no other,” said Shambhala CEO Neil MacLeod, who called this the biggest lineup in the festival’s history. “Get ready to be absolutely blown away.”
If you’re seeing this lineup and are just now thinking about grabbing a ticket, you are unfortunately out of luck.
As is often the case, unprecedented demand led to a quick sellout of festival passes, long before the lineup was released today.
In fact, it took just three hours for the festival to sell out when passes went on sale in September, marking the quickest ticket sale in Shambhala’s 25-year history.
Shambhala began in 1998 as a grassroots gathering of 500 people on founder Jimmy Bundschuh’s family-run farm in Salmo.
Now the longest-running electronic dance music festival in Canada, Shambhala has grown into a major multi-day event that draws attendees from around the globe.
