Professional bull riders returning to Kelowna’s Prospera Place this summer

Kelowna has become a regular stop on the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) circuit.

The PBR Canada’s Cub Series will return to the Central Okanagan this summer for a fourth consecutive season after a record-setting crowd last year.

The event featuring some of the best bull riders in Canada and beyond will be at Prospera Place on Thursday, July 17, starting at 7 pm.

“For one night only, fans will witness exhilarating eight-second rides and wrecks throughout the unpredictable, action-packed event as the PBR’s courageous bull-riding athletes face off against their 1,800-pound opponents born to buck,” notes a release from PBR Canada.

Prairie boys have reigned supreme during the last three PBR stops in Kelowna, with Saskatchewan’s Jared Parsonage winning in 2024 after Wyatt Gleeson and Brock Radford, both from Alberta, won in 2023 and 2022 respectively.

The only other time a PBR Canada Cup Series event was held in Kelowna was back in 2018, which produced an international winner in Australia’s Lachlan Richardson.

Tickets to catch all the bull riding action in Kelowna start at $30 and will go on sale to the general public at 10 am on Friday, March 21.

You can purchase your tickets online through Select Your Tickets, by phoning 250-762-5050 or in person at the Prospera Place box office.
