One of the biggest rising stars in country music will be coming to British Columbia next year.
Lainey Wilson has announced dates for her North American tour and they include a stop in Vancouver next fall.
The 31-year-old Louisiana native will be playing Rogers Arena on Thursday, Sept. 26, with Jackson Dean and Zach Top coming along as her opening acts.
Tickets for the Country’s Cool Again Tour will go on sale through Wilson’s website at 10 am on Friday, Oct. 27, with various presales available in the days prior.
“Nothing gets me buzzin’ like putting on a show and singing along with the crowd,” said Wilson.
“I want to give a big thank you to all of the fans who have continuously showed up and showed out this year. We can’t wait to see you nationwide on the Country’s Cool Again Tour!”
Wilson has been an active musician for more than a decade, but spent several years toiling away, relatively unknown, as many artists do.
Her breakout came with the single “Things a Man Oughta Know,” which was released in the summer of 2020 and hit No. 1 on the charts in 2021.
It was the lead single off her third studio album, Sayin’ What I’m Thinkin’, which she has since followed up with last fall’s Bell Bottom Country.
Another pair of radio hits came from Bell Bottom Country in “Heart Like a Truck” and “Watermelon Moonshine.”
Wilson has also seen plenty of success as a featured artist on tracks from artists like Cole Swindell, Hardy and Jelly Roll.
She has racked up several awards in recent years, including four ACM Awards, two CMT Music Awards and three PCCA Awards this year alone.
