One of the biggest names in country music will be making his way to the Okanagan later this year.
Brad Paisley revealed dates for the Canadian leg of his world tour this morning, which will see him play nine shows in the country this fall.
That includes a stop at Prospera Place in Kelowna on Wednesday, Nov. 5. Paisley's opening act for the Kelowna show will be announced at a later date.
Although the 52-year-old’s career has quieted down over the past decade, he was a dominant force on the country charts between 1999-2011.
He scored 18 number-one country hits in the United States during that time, adding one more since then with the song “Perfect Storm” when it topped the charts in January 2015.
Several of Paisley’s songs and albums have gone platinum or double platinum, with 2003’s Mud on the Tires and 2005’s Time Well Wasted being his most successful selling records.
And while he may not have the same kind of impact on the country charts these days, the desire to see the country star is still large.
He kicked off the Truck Still Works World Tour with three sold-out weekends in May and it will continue through the US in front of big crowds this summer.
Tickets for his Kelowna show in a smaller venue like Prospera Place are sure to go fast. They go on sale through Paisley’s website at 10 am on Friday, June 20, but fan club presale opportunities begin on Tuesday, June 17.
