Interior Health reported six cases of COVID-19 today.
That’s still just a small fraction of the province’s total number of cases reported today, which was 97, but it’s the highest number that IH has reported since it reported six on Aug. 27.
The last time IH reported more than six was all the way back on July 24, when 20 new cases were reported.
Needless to say, it’s been a very positive month and a half for the BC Interior when it comes to COVID-19, especially after a tough July.
There’s been 479 total cases reported since the start of the pandemic back in March, but only 19 are currently active.
For the first time in weeks, someone is in hospital in the IH region due to COVID-19.
The only outbreak currently active in the BC Interior is at a construction site near Elk Valley, but no IH residents are affected.
