Over three reporting days from Friday through Monday, British Columbia reported over 100 new cases of COVID-19 each day for a total of 366 new cases.
Just 16 of those cases (4.3%) were from Interior Health, as the region continues to see low numbers when it comes to COVID-19.
IH did not release any information regarding how many cases were reported on each day.
There’s now been a total of 508 cases in the IH region since the start of the pandemic.
Currently, 34 of them are active and just one person is in hospital.
There are no new outbreaks to report in IH and just one currently active, which was declared on Aug. 27 at a Teck Coal Mines construction site.
There are no IH residents associated with that outbreak, however, as it involved Alberta and Vancouver Island residents who all tested positive after returning home from work.
