Two people are in hospital for COVID-19 in the BC Interior right now and one of them is in the intensive care unit.

No changes were reported in regards to the outbreaks at three long-term care facility outbreaks in Kelowna, Kamloops and Penticton.

Today, Dr. Bonnie Henry announced a number of new province-wide restrictions that go into effect at midnight until at least Dec. 7.

That includes a ban on social gatherings, mandatory masks for all indoor public spaces including retail stores and the suspension of hot yoga, spin classes and other similar high-intensity group training sessions.
