The service said that the two Revelstoke men and one Golden man exceeded their daily quotas and possession limits of bull trout.

They also dressed fish in a way to prevent the number from being determined.

“In BC, bull trout are a blue-listed species and susceptible to being over harvested in early spring,” explained a post from the BCCOS.

Conservation officers seized a total of 11 fish and related fishing gear from the men.

Fortunately, they were able to process and donate all 36 pounds of seized fish to the Golden Food Bank.
