Multiple pieces of art stolen from artist's home in Osoyoos

A BC artist had several original pieces of art stolen from her residence in November.

The Osoyoos RCMP explain that the art was stolen during a residential break and enter on Thursday, Nov. 11.

Multiple paintings and silk ties were stolen and the artist, Gabriele Beyer, has even created a Facebook page to show the artwork that was stolen.

The page has contact information for the artist and the RCMP are urging anyone with any information to contact the detachment at 250-495-7236.

“This original artwork is of great sentimental value to the artist,” states Sgt. Jason Bayda of the Osoyoos RCMP.

“It is not unusual for stolen art to travel a great distance to be sold across the country or internationally.”
