Police in the BC Interior are seeking witnesses of a crash that left a 66-year-old man seriously injured Sunday afternoon.

Just after noon, RCMP in Clinton received a report between a pickup truck and motorcycle on Highway 97 at Clinton Cemetery Road.

The crash left the motorcycle driver with serious life-altering injuries.

The man was airlifted to a hospital for treatment.

Another motorcyclist, who was associated with the man, was not involved in the crash and no other injuries were reported.

As of Monday morning, he remains in stable condition.

The police are still investigating what caused the crash, which shut the highway down in both directions for several hours.

“Police are now looking to identify anyone who witnessed the crash or may have dash camera footage,” said Staff Sergeant Kris Clark, of the BC RCMP.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crash or any preceding driving behaviours, or may have dash camera footage are asked to contact the Clinton RCMP at (250) 459-2221 and refer to file 2025-300.
