PHOTOS: The Okanagan is on fire once again

It’s a fear that all Okanagan residents have during the region’s hot, dry summers.

The risk of wildfire is always there and, once again, that risk has turned into reality with a number of active wildfires throughout the South and Central Okanagan.

Headlined by the Mount Eneas fire near Peachland and the Good Creek fire in Okanagan Mountain Park, there are more than a dozen active fires throughout the Okanagan.

As we wait on the latest information from the BC Wildfire, CORD and the RDOS EOC, we’ve taken and collected a number of stunning photos of what is a very scary situation.

With smoke plumes during the day turning into glowing hillsides at night, it’s hard not to stop and stare at the destructive power of nature.

Here are a few of the most incredible photos of the Mount Eneas and Good Creek fires so far.
