4. Man in 70s charged after SUV crash kills toddler at daycare

A man in his 70s has been charged with dangerous driving after an SUV crashed into a daycare near Toronto and killed a toddler. Six other children were hurt in the incident in Richmond Hill, as well as three adults.

5. UK fires ambassador to US after emails show he said Epstein was 'best pal'

The UK's ambassador to the US, Peter Mandelson, has been fired by Prime Minister Keir Starmer after it was revealed he had referred to child rapist Jeffrey Epstein as his "best pal" in the wake of his conviction for soliciting sex from a minor. Mandelson told Epstein after his 2008 sentencing: “I think the world of you and I feel hopeless and furious about what has happened," adding that his friends "love you."
