1. Irish women are sharing photos of their thongs; here’s why
There was outrage after an accused rapist was acquitted in Ireland last week. During the trial, the defence made reference to the 17-year-old victim’s “lace front” thong, saying “you have to look at the way she was dressed.” As a result, women across Ireland and beyond are sharing pictures of their thongs online as a form of protest.
Jurors in Cork were asked to consider the underwear a SEVENTEEN YEAR OLD GIRL was wearing when she was raped by a 27-year-old man.

2. San Francisco’s air quality is ‘very unhealthy’
British Columbians certainly have experience with this. Due to the wildfires in Northern California, the air quality in San Francisco has reached purple level, which is “very unhealthy.” There’s significant concern about public health and several universities and public schools have even cancelled classes.
#Airquality in parts of Bay Area is now "very unhealthy" -- meaning active children and adults, and people with respiratory disease, such as asthma, should avoid all outdoor exertion; everyone else should limit outdoor exertion.
