The author of the famous book series Harry Potter has announced a new fairytale. JK Rowling said that The Ickabog is not related in any way to Harry Potter, and she will be donating royalties to organizations affected by COVID-19. A free, online version of the book will be made available for everyone to enjoy in lockdown.

On Monday afternoon, members of the Calgary City Council made history after they agreed to bring an end to the controversial practice of conversion therapy. While all 14 councillors and the mayor voted in approval of the ban in the first reading, one member, Councillor Joe Magliocca, voted against the second and third readings, so the final vote for the bylaw is 14-1.

Video of Memorial Day weekend celebrations at the Lake of the Ozarks are leaving many shocked. Restaurants and businesses are permitted to open as long as they are abiding by social distancing and other health measures. However, none of that appears to be going on in the video.

The Centre for Disease Control (CDC) has said that the coronavirus primarily spreads from person to person and is not easily picked up from a contaminated surface state. The CDC quietly revised guidelines on its website.

At least 140 customers may have been exposed to COVID-19 after two stylists at Great Clips in Springfield, Missouri tested positive, according to reports from the media.
