The prime minister is in Poland today to discuss trade and defence, according to Ottawa. Mark Carney was in Ukraine on Sunday, where he pledged billions of dollars in extra aid and refused to rule out the possibility that Canadian soldiers could be sent to the country as part of a security agreement should it agree a peace deal with Russia.

The Pride parade in Ottawa was successfully shut down by pro-Palestine activists on Sunday. The organizers of the event were forced to negotiate with the parade hijackers, who demanded that Capital Pride boycott Israel's economy and cultural output.
