1. Bloody horses go on the run in London

Central London resembled a scene out of Revelation earlier today after bloody horses went on the run and injured four people. The horses, which escaped while being inspected ahead of a parade for the King's birthday in June, have since been recovered, but their victims have been taken to hospital.


2. Justin and Sophie Trudeau 'still bound by respect and love' despite breakdown of marriage

Sophie Trudeau has said she's aware "some will be trying to sniff out the gossip" about the breakdown of her marriage with the prime minister. But she told CBC: "We are still bound by respect and love, and we have each other's backs and minds and hearts."


3. Athens turned orange by Sahara dust

Athens has been coloured by an orange haze after clouds of dust swept across the Mediterranean from the Sahara desert. Officials said it's one of the worst such instances in recent years.


4. Boy, 9, wins European screeching contest with seagull impression

A nine-year-old boy from the UK has won a European screeching competition thanks to his uncanny impression of a seagull. The youngster, who calls himself "Seagull Boy," said he began imitating the aggressive avians after being attacked by one as he ate a tuna sandwich.


5. TikTok's days in US could be numbered

TikTok's days may be numbered in the United States after the country's Senate approved a bill that could lead to the app being banned. If President Joe Biden signs the bill into law, the app's Chinese owners will be given nine months to sell their wildly successful product, or else it will be blocked.
