Heading out into the warm sun and exploring the lake with family and friends is a specialty of the Okanagan Valley. There are countless activities to experience in Kelowna year-round — luckily, we’re in the sunny, summer months and the lake is calling!
Splash BC, formerly known as Okanagan Wibit, is a water playground that should be on everyone’s summer to-do list. This popular attraction has been expanding throughout the province — it has even reached Ontario.
These massive, 100 to 180 person floating water parks come fully equipped to give you quite the lake adventure. They include climbing walls, monkey bars, slides, trampolines and plenty more obstacles to explore. While it’s clear that children will love climbing, diving, bouncing and swinging through the water park, adults will have a blast too!
Splash BC is open to everyone aged five and above. It’s a great way to beat the heat this summer and, with life jackets and a lifeguard always on duty, this fun-filled attraction is also very safe. Families can come down and spend an afternoon playing on the lake or lounging on the beach.
For admission, there is a pass for everyone. The water park is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and all-day passes are $28 — if you purchase a five-day pass it’s $99. For those that want to only enjoy the waterpark in the evenings, there are evening passes available for $18 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
From your family to the rest of the community, Splash BC supports a wide range of organizations, charities and causes. By the end of 2017, Splash BC’s total donations equaled $18,150 and they’ve given away over 600 passes.
They have donated funds and admission passes to causes like the Okanagan Boys and Girls Clubs, Penticton and District for Community Living, One to One: Children’s Literacy Program and the South Okanagan Women and Children in Need Society, to name a few.
From charities, to local families, to teams looking for a fun way to bond, to tourists, everyone can enjoy this fun-filled water park the way they want. These water parks are all about community involvement and enjoyment.
Splash BC has water parks in Kelowna, Peachland, Penticton and Osoyoos. For more information on Splash BC, admissions and community involvement, check them out here.
Splash BC (Wibit) is a family-operated business that offers unique water parks with a goal to provide healthy, affordable fun for residents and tourists of all ages. Now with four waterpark locations in the province (Kelowna, Pencticton, Peachland and Osoyoos), Splash BC plans to continue expanding into other cities while maintaining its dedication to giving back to the communities it serves through charitable giving.
