Chainsaws, chairs and paddles have been recalled across Canada this week.
Health Canada said the chainsaws could cause lacerations, the paddles could lead to drowning and the chairs could break and cause injuries.
The products affected by the recalls are:
Milwaukee Tool M18 FUEL 12” and 14’’ Top Handle Chainsaws
Werner Stealth and Covert Kayak Paddles
Crate & Barrel Ana dining chairs
Health Canada said 7,500 of the chainsaws were sold in Canada between June 2023 and September 2024, while more than 90,000 were sold in the US. There has been one report of laceration involving the product, in the US.
Anyone in possession of the chainsaw, whose chain brake “may not prevent the chain from moving,” is urged to immediately stop using it and contact the company for assistance.
The paddles, meanwhile, have been less popular, with just 25 sold in Canada and 701 sold in the US between February 2024 and September 2025.
Health Canada said the paddles “can break during use, posing a drowning hazard.” There have been no reports of breaks in Canada, but 80 in the US. No drownings have been reported.
Anyone in possession of the paddles should stop using them immediately, Health Canada said, and apply for a refund here.
The chairs have been rather more popular than the paddles in both Canada and the US, with 3,175 sold in the Great White North and nearly 55,000 sold down south between January 2021 and January 2025.
Describing the issue with the product, Health Canada said: “The legs on the chair can break causing a fall hazard.”
There have been eight reports of legs breaking in Canada, but no injuries. In the US, there have been 149 reports of breaks and 11 reports of injuries.
Anyone in possession of the chairs should stop using them now, Health Canada warned, and get in touch with the company for a replacement.
