Canada wide warrant issued for construction company owner who allegedly failed to pay contractors

The RCMP have issued a Canada wide warrant for the owner of a construction company based in Calgary, Alta.

According to the RCMP, the contractor company GNRL Construction won a bid to renovate a large retail clothing store in Yorkton, Sask. Several other local companies were subcontracted to complete the project.

In December of 2016, a fraud investigation was opened in relation to the company and it was determined that GNRL fraudulently failed to the subcontractors for the work completed.

The RCMP are now trying to locate the owner of the company, and have issued a Canada wide arrest warrant for Christos Eutathios Fotopoulos, age 37.

He faces charges of fraud over $5,000, theft over $5,000 and breach of trust.
