Southern British Columbia was battered with heavy winds overnight, but it was Alberta dealing with some serious gusts on Tuesday.
The extreme weather was too much for one transport truck to handle, as it was blown over by heavy winds on Hwy 2 around 100 kilometres south of Calgary.
Video of the harrowing incident was taken by Kyle Brittain of The Weather Network, who was driving behind the large truck.

The video rolls for around 35 seconds as the truck gets blown around on the highway and its wheels lift off the road.
A worried Brittain can only watch and react with surprise as the transport truck struggles in the extreme winds.
Finally, the brute force of the gusts is too much and the truck topples onto its side, coming to rest on its side in the middle of the highway.
The Weather Network said the video “demonstrates the power of extreme winds,” which are expected to continue impacting the prairies through Thursday.
The driver was shaken, but not injured.
