Where are you from and how long have you lived in Kamloops?

I’m from Abbotsford and I have lived in Kamloops for 2 years.

Who is your favourite person to spend time with and why?
My children are my favourite humans, they are the reason I get up each morning and why I work 5 jobs.

What is your favourite local store in Kamloops and why?
High Maintenance Beauty, not only is it a local small business the owner is another hard working mother trying to build a name for herself. They are always amazing in there.

Describe yourself in one word.
Passionate.

If you could go anywhere in the world right at this moment where would you go and why?
Belize, to enjoy the warm weather, but of course, I’d have to take my kids to experience it together.

What is your favourite activity in Kamloops?
I love hiking, Kamloops has so much to offer when it comes to areas to explore and stay active.

What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you?
I can’t pick just one 😂

What is the most inspiring thing that has happened to you?
I'm constantly inspired by people who refuse to give up when faced with challenges in their life. There is no one thing that stands out more than another, each person walks a different life and has a different story and when they continue to grow and try to better their lives that is what inspires me.

Tell
us your favourite childhood memory.
When I saved for 2 years babysitting and delivering new papers, cutting lawns and whatever else I could to buy my first horse. My parents told me if I wanted one I had to pay for it as we lived in town and so when I finally did it, it’s a day I’ll never forget it.

Where do you volunteer or give back to in the community?
I have not volunteered in Kamloops, but in Abbotsford, I do public speaking events advocating for street affected youth for MCFD.

If you could change one thing in the world what would it be?
I would change how people are so quick to judge one another. We need to be kinder to each other.

Where would you sneak away to in Kamloops to spend some time alone?
Kenna Cartwright Park.

Where would you like to see positive change in Kamloops and why?
I would like to see a more positive atmosphere in the fitness community, trainers and coaches supporting none another rather than competing with each other. I would like to see a more positive environment for those trying to be healthy.

What do you think makes Kamloops great?
I think Kamloops is great because it has a small town feel, but has so many natural amenities.

What are 3 things on your bucket list?
I want to travel Europe.
I want to host the first west Canadian Show for the Rare breed Alapaha blue blood bulldog which I own and breed.
I want to teach my children to work hard and always help those around them. Then I will like I accomplished something real.

Tell us something that not everyone may know about you.
I don’t like vegetables.

How do people connect with you, personally, through social media?
Instagram and Facebook.

What is the name of your business/organization?
Relentless performance and nutrition.

Why did you get into/start this business?
Because training literally saved me from a life full of chronic pain due to an accident involving my horse and a van. Training became a passion of mine that I wanted to share and help others achieve a better healthier version of themselves.

What is the goal of your business?
To support and guide people to achieve their goals.

What has been your biggest struggle either at work or in life?
My biggest struggle in life was recovering from the accident that ended my ability to ride and overcoming the pain and filling the void that was left when I couldn’t have horses anymore.

What do you always find yourself saying?
"Be kind to yourself above all else."

Tell us your best piece of life advice.
Be kind to yourself above all else, forgive yourself for mistakes you make and try to move forward even if it seems fruitless.

If you could spend one whole day with anyone in the world who is currently alive, who would you select?
other Than my children I would have to say honestly I would spend it with anyone who needed a listening ear or words of encouragement.
