2019-10-10 19:00:00 2019-10-10 21:30:00 America/Vancouver Reel Youth Film Festival FREE SCREENING at the Shatford Centre Most of the films we see are made by adults – so what happens when young people sit in the director’s chair? The world looks very different to young people from Iran, Lithuania, South Korea, and India, and their perspectives give rare insight into the next generation of leaders, change-makers, and visual artists. The Reel Youth Film Festival show-cases new work from young filmmakers around the world. These 19 short films were selected by an international youth jury from over 1,300 submissions and 100 countries, then curated to reflect diversity of expression and identity. This compelling collection is packed with humour, courage, and inspiration for viewers of all ages, and shows you the world through the eyes of an emerging group of gifted filmmakers.
