1969-12-31 18:30:00 1969-12-31 20:30:00 America/Vancouver Expressive Arts for Artists Expressive Arts for Artists was created in collaborative partnership with Maiya Robbie, RTC, with the hope of providing artists tools for creative self-care and connection during these uncertain times. Maiya Robbie, RTC, is a certified Expressive Arts Therapist and a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor. Expressive Arts Therapists offer sessions and workshops that integrate creative modalities, embodiment practices, and psychotherapy. Modalities can include visual arts, creative writing, drama, music, voice, and movement as catalysts for personal inquiry, discovery, healing, and growth. Wellness Workshop Series This in-person wellness series is an opportunity for a small group of artists to go deeper into the exercises and practices. All materials and handouts are included in the course fee. Participants will receive an Art Box at registration specifically curated for this course. (Value $40+). Other art materials may be introduced each week. Dates/Times: Tuesday evenings, 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm November 9, 16, 23, 30 December 7 & 14 Ways to Participate: 1. In Person* Attends six week session, receives Art Box and other in class supplies, plus course handouts. Access to the private Facebook group that has some of Maiya’s videos. Maiya will drop in from time to time for questions. *Please Note, the facilitator for this event prefers that all who attend are double vaccinated as they have people who are close to them with compromised immune systems. We recognize that this is not a criteria under the current Provincial Health Order and will not be asking anyone for their vaccination history or proof of vaccination. This is on the honour system. Thank you for your compassion and understanding. Masks, hand sanitizing, and contact tracing will be in place. Class is limited to eight participants. Accommodations are available for those who are not able to attend in person through the Distance Learning option. 2. Distance Learning Participant Art Box of supplies. Guide To Wellness PDF. Weekly handouts emailed to them the day after the class. (6 emailed pdfs) Printed copies can be available from the PDCAC office. Access to the private Facebook group that has some of Maiya’s videos. Maiya will drop in from time to time for questions. If out of area, the PDCAC can ship class materials. Participant pays shipping costs. Workshop Fees To ensure equitability for attending while honouring the value of this offering, we have proposed the following course fees: Core workshop fee: $180 In person + all of the materials and course access Arts Supporter fee: $360 one participant fee + one participant access gifted to another artist. In person + all of the materials and course access. Supportive workshop fee: $90 for participants who may have financial barriers. In person + all of the materials and course access.
