$content	=	"<p>Mounties in Grande Prairie announced 17 charges against a local man in connection to alleged sex crimes involving multiple girls.</p>

<p dir="ltr">As police detailed the accusations against 32-year-old Joseph Kidd, they revealed he had been released on bail twice between his first arrest on April 20 and his most recent arrest on June 18.</p>

<p dir="ltr">The investigation into Kidd began on April 17 after a 14-year-old girl from British Columbia made an in-person report at the Grande Prairie RCMP detachment.</p>

<p dir="ltr">She told officers that after meeting Kidd on social media, he drove to BC to pick her up and drove her to his residence in Grande Prairie.</p>

<p dir="ltr">&ldquo;She was there for about a week and was able to leave when Kidd left to go to work,&rdquo; an RCMP release explained.</p>

<p dir="ltr">Kidd was arrested and charged with sexual assault, sexual interference, forcible confinement, assault while choking and unsafe storage of a firearm, but was released under conditions on April 30.</p>

<p dir="ltr">On May 10, police responded to a 911 call at Kidd&rsquo;s residence and learned that he had driven to Lloydminster to pick up an 18-year-old girl.</p>

<p dir="ltr">&ldquo;They drove to his residence where Kidd allegedly assaulted her when she refused to have sexual relations with him,&rdquo; the RCMP release said.</p>

<p dir="ltr">Kidd was brought back into custody and charged with assault, assault while choking, sexual assault and three counts of failing to comply with a release order.</p>

<p dir="ltr">This time he was released on June 1 on a $7,500 cash bail with more conditions, which included a June 22 court date.</p>

<p dir="ltr">Before that date arrived, however, a 15-year-old girl made an in-person report at the Grande Prairie RCMP detachment to inform police that Kidd had allegedly been following her around.</p>

<p dir="ltr">&ldquo;She stated that he offered her alcohol if she got into his vehicle,&rdquo; noted the RCMP release. &ldquo;On one occasion, she got into his vehicle, and he drove them to his residence, where she was sexually assaulted before leaving.&rdquo;</p>

<p dir="ltr">There were reportedly multiple incidents like this between June 4-18, which resulted in Kidd being charged with criminal harassment, sexual interference, sexual assault and failing to comply with release conditions.</p>

<p dir="ltr">That wasn&rsquo;t the only report regarding Kidd that the Grande Prairie RCMP received on June 18 though, as they also heard from the mother of a 12-year-old girl.</p>

<p dir="ltr">She told police that a male driving a yellow convertible Chevrolet Camaro tried to lure her child into his car. Officers made immediate patrols and found Kidd driving the suspect vehicle.</p>

<p dir="ltr">This led to charges of abduction of a person under 14 years old and failing to comply with release conditions being laid against Kidd.</p>

<p dir="ltr">Following his June 22 court appearance, Kidd was remanded into custody and is due back in court on July 2.</p>

<p dir="ltr">However, the RCMP believes there may be more victims, and have provided the photo of Kidd and his vehicle for public consumption.</p>
